As a parent, you want to expose your children to as much as possible. Let them experience life, and figure out their path. As a mother, it is something you don't even question. As a woman wanting to have a little bit of her own life, it becomes a whole other monster.
Just do the math! 3 kids X 2 activities each = 6 different places to be. Where do you draw the line? How do you have a life when you are so busy taking your kids to the places they need to be. I'm sure for some, they have family to help. For me, the responsibilities rest soley on my shoulders.
Obviously, a balance needs to be struck. Finding the balance just might be the biggest challenge. It just so happens that my Monkey is also awesome at soccer. Did I mention her desire to learn the guitar and a slight interest in karate.
Part of my neurosis may come from the belief that I missed my chance and I don't want my daughter to miss hers. I strongly believe in exposing your children to all life has to offer. I'm never one to force an activity on them, but when my child shows an interest, I go full force! Which is EXACTLY what I stopped doing for myself when I became a mother.
I guess for now I'll just Rock the Mini all over town getting kid A, B and C to activity 1,2 and 3 and 4,5, and 6.
How do you find balance in your life or are you struggling like me?
